This blog will explore some of the principles behind interactive design, a field that is creating more interest not only in the graphic design field but for me personally as a young designer. It is a practice that explores the way we think, the way we act and most importantly the way we feel, which for me is what makes this subject one of the most interesting that I have explored so far.

How constructive criticism can help…

My latest drawings recently completed in flash. Left is Keyshia, middle is Mai and to the right is Lynne. Stylus suggested that the characters looked a little too wide. So curious to know if this would make a difference I narrowed them down and what do u know?  They looked heaps better. So I’ll keep in mind that a little constructive critcism can never hurt anybody as long as it helps u to improve.

This is another wallpaper I made this time using a red-orange tone and my character Jadis. I thought the design worked quite well on the first so i decided to use it again for this one.

I just finished this today. Took me about an hour and a half to do on Photoshop. I havent used Photoshop in ages so i just decided to whip something together coz i was bored.
 
Ive decided to use it as my new display pictures too.

I always draw my cartoon characters on flash. What i do to achieve that toning is i draw with the pencil tool the seperate shading areas and then simply fill. Its amazing what a difference this makes in comparison to just one shade of colour. It can make the drawing look more 3 dimensional.
 
Ive also added a new drawing- her name is Lymphis. Hope u like it!
